Thinking out loud

Just looking over these photos and reflecting about my good fortune at scoring these row 10 seats.  Scooted over to Toot's seat in Row 2 for a few photos.  It  makes me wonder if I would also move to row 2 for a sermon by Jesus?  How many of us scramble to get up close at venues like a concert but we are the ones to sit in the back of the church at mass.  Why aren't we fighting for the front row to worship our God?  Instead we fight for "our" pew or to get out of the parking lot.  Over the last few months, I've moved around our parish for seating to get a new perspective, to meet new people and to get a different 'feel' for the parish.    My desire is to wish for "front row" seats to worship our God as well as for others to desire to get closer to our Creator who provides the talent we see in these stars we see in concert and on stage.

  1. This is so true. Moving around the church has been different for us, and I long to get back to the pew that we always sit in. But getting to meet new people and to see what it is like to sit in a different pew has been challenging but nice. The funny part of doing this is that some people think that we are not at mass.
